Gina and Her Puppy Passion

Hi! I’m Gina Cicconetti.

I started Bow Wow “Bark”-Cuterie after having some fun throwing around some ideas when trying to give my dog, Missy, some prescription pills. It has always been tough hiding her pills in anything, without her discovering them, or spitting them out.

Once we stumbled upon certain foods doing the trick, I was arranging them cutely on a plate one night while making us humans a small charcuterie board. I jokingly said “Here, you can have your own charcuterie board – a “bark”-cuterie board”. From there, our household continued to have fun brainstorming ideas for doggie boards.

I then began researching, shopping and comparing, working out product searches and costs, and before I knew it, I had a name, a logo, a business plan, my first boxes of boards shipped to my house, and I was test-baking recipes for Missy to try.

Missy is my #1 quality control four-legged foodie, and nothing goes on the boards unless she approves and asks for more! I made a promise to use natural ingredients with no preservatives or additives, so there will be a short ingredient list, and you won’t have to worry about what goes into your dogs’ bellies.

I also made a promise that my business would remain simple and fun. I hope to bring that fun to your dog and to your home.
